The Sports Management group met with GW alum Greg Stangel at CAA, one of the premier sports agencies in the world that represents the likes of Derek Jeter, LeBron James, Peyton Manning, and David Beckham. Stangel answered students questions and discussed his role in the Properties division.
On the final site visit of the trip, the group visited the Major League Baseball headquarters. Every member who walked through the front door was ‘wowed’ by the office’s impressive baseball decor. GW alum Mickey Shupin talked about the MLB International division as well as the league’s involvement in the World Baseball Classic and training youth international players.
The final leg of the visit to the New York Yankees was canceled because team offices were closed due to the snow, but we’d like to give a big thanks to GW alum Samantha Gross for organizing the visit and attending last night’s networking reception.
The trip has been a huge success, and all of the students are excited about their experiences and networking connections. Thanks for following along, I’ll leave you with a photo of snowy NYC!
